♠ - Descongelando a geladeira / Defreezing the refrigerator

Depois de editar o video da Patricia Biagioni, eu fiquei empolgado em editar outro. clique aqui para ampliar o video este video de 27/dez/2004. eu fiz apenas com a intencao de registrar minha maneira de descongelar a geladeira. mas hoje, com o youtube, pensei, "por que naum compartilhar?" entaum eu reeditei o video hoje (10/set/2007) e coloquei aqui no youtube. eu fiz isso por mais ou menos 2 anos, e geralmente eu fazia na vespera das compras quando a geladeira estava razoavelmente vazia. ateh que em janeiro de 2006 me disseram que o problema era no termostato, e disseram que como eu sou o "faz tudo", eu mesmo poderia comprar a peca na assistencia tecnica e reposicionar em casa. jah estava questionando a possibilidade de comprar outra geladeira, mas o problema era apenas termostato e borrachas de porta. entaum ao invez de gastar R$ 1200,00 (preco de uma nova) eu gastei apenas R$ 25,00 (termostato + borrachas). consegui trocar tudo numa boa, apesar de achar que a reposicao do termostato naum foi tao facil como muitos outros "faz tudo" me disseram. enfim. hoje, naum mais faco isso com a geladeira, mas estah aih a dica. recomendacoes: 1 - deve-se cortar o gelo com a agua primeiro isolando a regiao da lampada, pois ali fica o fios, e o cabo do termostato. se naum cortar o gelo dali, quando o pedaco inteiro soltar, o peso ira forcar aquela parte. (note no minuto 3:35 do filme, um pequeno pedaco de gelo que eu deixei por ultimo) 2 - quando enxugar a geladeira, remover a lampada, enxugar dentro do soquete (bocal), e a lampada. (apesar do soquete ter um anel de borracha que impede que a agua entre dentro dos contatos da lampada, eu naum gosto de arriscar) e lembre-se de fazer isso ANTES de religar a geladeira na tomada. 3 - ao replugar a geladeira na tomada, esteja calcado, e com o calcado SECO (isento de agua). pq o choque que eu tomei no minuto 6:30, eu estava segurando o plugue, pela borracha que era grossa, e mesmo assim, na "faisca inicial", a eletricidade "pulou" por todo o isolamento. essa "faisca inicial" eu naum sei explicar com termos tecnicos, mas eh como se corresse mais energia no momento em que os contatos se tocam. (note que no minuto 6:45, quando eu termino de enfiar o plugue com o cabo da vassoura, a luz da cozinha diminui por um breve momento.) mas a recomendacao maior eh, troque de termostato o quanto antes. se naum souberes como, pague para quem sabe. pois vivemos num periodo em que a escassez da agua limpa eh uma grande preocupacao mundial. entaum... lavar carros, calcadas, e "descongelar geladeiras" com mangueira de jardim, estao virando coisas do passado, e acredito que naum demora muito a comecarem a proibir este tipo de acao. espero que tenham gostado. abracos As

After I edited the Patricia Biagioni's video, I got excited to edit another one. click here to enlarge video a 27/dec/2004 video. I made it with the intention to register my way to defreeze my refrigerator. but today, with youtube, I thought, "why not sharing?". so I re-edited it today (10/sep/2007) and placed it here on youtube. I used to do that about a couple of years, and usually on the supplies recharge previous day when the fridge was quite empty. On january, 2006 they told me this problem was by a broken thermostat, and adviced me as I am a "do-everything", I could buy myself this piece on a technical assistance and replace it at home. I was considering a possibility of buying another fridge, but the problem was only thermostat and door's isolation rubbers. so instead of spending R$ 1200,00 (price of a new fridge), I spent only R$ 25,00 (thermostat + rubbers). I could replace them nicely, although I guess the thermostat was not that easy to do as all the "do-everything" told me it was. anyway. Today, I no longer defreeze the fridge that way, but I'll leave this hint here. recommendations: 1 - you must first cut the ice with the water isolating the lamp region, cause there are wires on that region. if you not cut the ice off there, when the entire piece release, its weight will push that region. (note on the 3:35 minute of the video, a little piece of ice I left for last) 2 - when you dry the fridge, remove the lamp to dry inside the socket, and the lamp. (besides the fact the lamp sockets made for fridge have a rubber ring to avoid the water to reach the contacts, I don't like to take the risk) and remember to do that BEFORE of reconnecting the fridge to the wall electric terminal. 3 - when reconnecting the fridge to the wall electric terminal, be wearing shoes, and make sure you they are dry (exempt of water). cause the shock I took on the 6:30 minute, I was holding the plug by its rubber part which was quite thick, and even so, on the "initial spark", the electricity "jumped" through all the isolation. this "initial spark" I don't know how to explain in technical terms, but it's like the energy runs stronger on the contacts touching moment. (note that on the 6:45 minute, when I finished the plug insertion with a broom handle, the kitchen's light reduced for a brief moment.) but the biggest recommendation is, exchange the thermostat as soon as possible. if you cannot do it by yourself, pay someone to do it. cause we live on a time that clean water scarcity is a big global concern. so... wash cars, sidewalks, and "defreeze refrigerators" using a yard hose, are becoming "things from the past", and I believe it won't take too long for them to begin to forbid actions like this. Essa semana eu fiz uma coisa que naum fazia a um tempo, que confesso que naum eh tao facil quanto parece. Edicao de video. Uma amiga que conhecia de campeonatos de fisiculturismo e powerlifting de uns anos pra ca, pra minha surpresa, ela comecou a treinar na mesma academia que eu treino. um dia eu fui treinar, e o Mendinho (meu instrutor de musculacao, e diga-se de passagem o homem mais forte da america latina... e naum falo por puxacao de saco. o cara tem titulos MESMO.), estava filmando o treinamento da Patricia com o intuito de montar um video pra colocar no youtube. acabei filmando 2 ou 3 tomadas, e me predispus para editar o video, pois tinha certa experiencia com isso. peguei o material, e montei o video abaixo:

This week I did one thing I hadn't done for a long time, and I confess that is not as easy as it seems. Video edition. A she-friend of mine I've met in bodybuilding and powerlifting contests 4 or 5 years ago, for my surprise, she started to train on the same gym I workout. one day I went there and Mendinho (my bodybuilding teacher, and the south america's strongest man... and I'm not saying to be kind. the man has titles, INDEED.), he was shooting Patricia's training with the purpose of composing a video to put on youtube. I ended by shooting 2 or 3 takes, and I predisposed myself to edit the video, cause I had a little experience with that. I took the material, and I composed the video bellow:

como eu sou artista, e sei fazer muitas coisas, eu tenho um certo preconceito com programas de edicao que tem efeitos sugeridos, e animacao de letrinhas prontas. entaum eu fiz o dizeres do video, com um efeito manual (desenhado por cima mesmo). mesclagem de cenas, eu sou bem "tradicional". naum gosto de caixinhas capotando, faixinhas coloridas atravessando, etc... gosto ou do esmaecimento de uma cena pra outra ou o corte seco e pronto. detalhes e improvisos musica: conheco ela e o marido a anos, mas os vi poucas vezes, e naum faco parte do mesmo circulo social. entaum eu naum fazia ideia do tipo de musica que ela gosta. procurando musicas aqui, achei uma versao da musica "Eye of the tiger", originalmente gravada pela banda Survivor para o filme RockyIII, cantada pela cantora Amel Bent. naum eh um rock tao pesado como os que eu gosto, eh uma musica bastante associada a treino intenso, e nesta versao era na voz de uma mulher. achei que essa combinacao tinha tudo haver, e por isso a escolhi. jah que usei uma musica que me lembrou muito os filmes do Rocky, decidi colocar o nome dela passando pela tela com cenas acontecendo dentro, bem como eu vi ainda crianca no trailer do Rocky IV. improvisos: a introducao que eu tinha idealizado, demorava mais do que o crescimento da musica, entaum eu copiei os primeiros ruidos da musica (formado por paletadas abafadas de guitarra) e colei em serie, formando um "loop", e assim , prolongando o comeco da musica. a cena mais comentada, que foi o flash e a cena fica em preto e branco enquanto esmaece, foi inspiracao do acaso, mas o porque de deixar a fase preto e branco em camera lenta, eh pq a sequencia de fotos que vinha a seguir jah estava montada e sincronizada com a musica. por estar sincronizada com a musica, naum dava pra antecipar as fotos.... entaum a camera lenta foi para naum ficar um espaco vago muito longo ateh a sequencia de fotos. ... nunca fiz curso pra isso. alias... como quase tudo o que sei. tenho dificuldade com leitura e mania de aprender sozinho. (ou como diria uma amiga, "indole da busca") eu aprendi tudo o que sei da mesma maneira que fiz os effeitos de letras, movimentacao de dizeres, combinacao de cenas e angulos, sincronia de musica no video que voces acabaram de ver: fazendo bom uso do meu q.i. e bom senso. espero que tenham gostado abracos As

as I am an artist, and I know how to do a lot of things, I have a kind of prejudice about video edition softwares with sugested effects, and ready character animations. so I made the texts using manual effects (drawing over). mixing scenes I am quite "traditional". I don't like little boxes overturning, colored strips crossing, etc... I like the fading from one scene to another or the "dry cut", period. details and improvises music: I know her and her husband for years, but I saw them few times, and I am not part of the same social circle. so I didn't have a clue about what kind of music she likes. searching music here, I found "Eye of the tiger" originally recorded by the band Survivor for the movie RockyIII, in a version sung by Amel Bent. it is not a rock as heavy as I like, it is a song quite related to intense workout, and this version was in a female voice. I found this combination had a lot to do about, and that's why I chose it. as I used a song that reminds me a lot of Rocky's movies, I decided to put her name passing by the screen with scenes happening inside it, as I saw when I was still a child on the Rocky IV's trailer. improvises: the introduction I had in mind, was longer then the music "growing", so I copy the firsts music's noises (formed by stuffy pickered on the guitar) and I copy them in serie, forming a "loop", and then, prolonging the music's beginning. the most commented scene, that with the "flash" and "black and white" while fading, was a casual inspiration, but the reason of the "slow-motion " in the black and white scene, was the pictures sequence that happens next was already set and synchronized with the song. and as it was synchronized with the song, I couldn't avance the pictures... so the slow-motion was to prevent a too long empty "space" until the pictures sequence. ... I've never had classes for that. in fact... just like almost everything I know. I have reading difficulty and a kind of learn by myself mania. (or as a she-friend of mine used to say, "a quest nature") I learned everything I know by the same way I made the characters effects, sayings movements, scenes and angles combining, music synchronization on the video you've just watched: making a good usage of my i.q. and good sense.
