♠ - Visita do gamba

Me and a friend of mine were talking at dawn when a skunk cub showed off.

I caught it, carress it, talked about a few things I know about this animal, and then I released it.

(I am still working on subtitles for this video)

abracos

As

do you remember what I mentioned about bats around here in the previous post? (prioridade nights) well, if you have a good sound device attached to your computer or headphones, you will be able to listem them in this video.

when I was editing this video, I was petrified not only about the quality of image of this camera, but also about the quality of sound!

♠ - Prioridade nights

(Funny how times flies... it was about to complete an entire year I didn't post in this blog. but I'll try to update all the news.)

These days I was hired to take care of a company by the nights while the front wall would be rebuilt.

as I work at night drawing at the computer, I tool my stuff there, so I could do both jobs.

at each meal-break (because of bodybuilding, I eat every 3 hours) I walk outside the house, by the backyard, by the front sidewalk, by the roof terrace... and in one full moon night of the 10 nights I was there, I decided to make some pictures cause I had my tripod and camera.

One thing I like in my being, is my capability to feel confortable in the dark. nights of calmness under open skies where most feel creepy or consider it an obscure scenario, I feel totally 'at home'.

when I say 'calmness', I mean those nights when the wind doesn't blow, dogs don't bark, all you can hardly hear is the bats which hiss and scream while flying.

there's too many bats aroung here. by looking to the sky at night, and admire its immensity, to notice how small we are in relation to this planet, it is not possible to see the hundreds of bats flying in the air, but for those who likes to 'taste' the sounds, by closing the eyes it is possible to feel, maybe not precisely, the quantity, position and altitude of each one of them. and depending on the inspiration, it is even possible to calculate and feel how it is to fly through the night of calmness, having the roof tops view with a minimal light coming from moon or stars.

this climate is even better after 3:30am, time when most people are sleeping, and at their deepest stage of sleep. the summit is at 4:30am. the night gets full of minds roaming off their bodies.

this company, in my opinion, is gifted, cause the way it was built and walled, its backyard doesn't receive any artificial lights. nor from other houses neither from street light poles. therefore, in nights like this, it is possible to admire the moon light, as pure as it ALWAYS should be. a thing which is becoming harder to find in big cities each passing day.

As

I am a lover of these colors, I always wanted a way to register them precisely. everytime I see a night landscape painted by artists those who are GOOD in choosing tones and colors, this one really catch my attention.

to pass night like these was more frequent when I was younger. today, older and understanding more about colors, night vibrations, photography and with all the equipment there with me, I decided to make some pictures.

I guess everybody who lives in big cities, should have at least one chance to see the full moon without any artificial light.

meanwhile this chance doesn't happen, I'll keep on improving my skills of registrate and describe such nights.
